ARRAY CTO Named a Finalist for NVTC CTO Innovator Award

Jay Kalath Recognized by the Northern Virginia Technology Council and Washington Technology

Greenbelt, MD – November 15, 2011 – Array Information Technology (ARRAY) announced today that CTO Jay Kalath was one of five finalists for the second annual CTO Innovator Award by The Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC) and Washington Technology. The 2011 finalists include top CTOs in the competitive IT services industry serving the U.S. Government.

Mr. Kalath was selected as a Small Business category finalist for this prestigious award based on his significant contributions within ARRAY, as well as the measureable impact he has made to a number of high-profile client programs.

During the past 18 months, Mr. Kalath led a groundbreaking program with the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to put in place a joint operations approach utilizing advanced collaboration technologies designed to keep U.S. borders safe across the northern border without hindering trade or travel processing between other countries.

Throughout his career, Mr. Kalath has also established himself as an invaluable consultant to the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Defense and the Department of State. He has architected significant advances in the way technology is deployed to keep the U.S. safe from terrorism and foreign attacks by using information more intelligently and collaboratively to allow government agencies, local law enforcement and first responders to better anticipate and react to problems.

“Jay has been instrumental to our growth by pushing us to new levels of client service and satisfaction, and providing invaluable leadership that has kept our staff motivated through many challenges,” said Sumeet Shrivastava, President of ARRAY. “Jay’s industry expertise is of the highest caliber and he has an excellent track record helping clients use technology in ways that achieve tangible business value for their operations and the lives of our citizens.”

The Northern Virginia Technology Council is an association for the technology community in Northern Virginia and acts as the largest technology council in the nation. NVTC created the CTO Innovator Awards to recognize Chief Technology Officers within the region’s government contracting community for their critical contributions to achieving results for their customers and their leadership within their own companies.
