At the conference, ARRAY’s Vice President and CTO, Jay Kalath, will speak on “Collaboration in the Enterprise for the National Security market”, and ARRAY’s Practice Director for Records and Information Management, Mike Miller, will speak on “Developing Records Management Governance for SharePoint 2010” and “How exactly does an electronic document differ from and electronic record?”

This presentation will take place Friday, August 12, and Saturday, August 13, at 3 p.m. ET to 4:15 p.m. ET.

Mr. Miller will discuss why Governance is one of the watchwords of SharePoint 2010 implementation in his session, “Developing Records Management Governance for SharePoint 2010.” It is the key to successfully implementing SharePoint 2010 and takes place on several levels. In his presentation, he will look at the five major decisions that organizations need to make concerning records management policy in order to successfully implement electronic recordkeeping using SharePoint 2010. With a Washington D.C. audience in mind, the discussion will emphasize the implications of these decisions for Federal agencies. This presentation will take place Friday, August 12, and Saturday, August 13 at 4:30 p.m. ET to 5:45 p.m. ET.

Mr. Miller will also present another session focused on, “How exactly does an electronic document differ from and electronic record?” This focus group will explore the nuances of electronic documents and electronic records and it impact to different organizations. He will also explore how a radical simplification of the concepts of documents and records can move the discussion forward. This focus group will take place Friday, August 12 at 9:30 a.m. ET.
