ARRAY Migrates DoD Budgetary System to milCloud

ARRAY’s migration of DoD Budgetary System to milCloud led to $1.5M in cost avoidance.

The Budgetary System is a DoD enterprise-level application used to develop and compile budget data for reporting to various Governmental entities, such as Office of the President of the United States, United States Congress and Senate, Secretary of the DoD, and the White House Office of Management and Budget.

ARRAY coordinated the System’s infrastructure move from DISA Defense Enterprise Computing Center (DECC) production servers to DISA’s milCloud Managed Platform Services (MPS) environment. The DISA MPS offering is a Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) cloud capability for facilitating application development, testing, and hosting of DoD mission applications. milCloud includes computing, storage, and network infrastructure with middleware software for application code execution from a secure facility under a common operating model.

ARRAY played a significant role in executing the System’s migration to milCloud…. This included working directly with the PMO on the Pathfinder initiative to migrate the application to DISA milCloud. This has the potential to avoid over $1.5M in anticipated Information Assurance costs resulting from the implementation of RMF.” – ARRAY Client

ARRAY provides 99% availability and this requirement is of critical importance during the semi-annual budget cycles. ARRAY also tested and implemented a new DISA VPN for milCloud access to the production environment via CAC authorization that has significantly reduced security risks.
