Article in Information Management by Teresa Schoch, Program Director at Array Information Technology

Greenbelt, MD, September 4, 2012 Teresa Schoch analyzes the challenge of managing information records with employees in four generations. She succinctly compares the organizational effort to being “tantamount to turning a ship around.” Fundamentally, she says it’s a change in the “organization’s workflow at a core level,” requiring everyone who participates in creating information to accept some responsibility. Making this task more difficult is the fact that the “ship’s crew” is composed of four generations with different motivators, values, and personal issues. She describes strategies for getting everyone, from traditionalists and boomers to Generations X and Y, on board the ship in cooperative teams.

To find out how to “map the ship’s route” by developing an effective, organization-wide education program for all generations, read the full article in Information Management.
