Stephanie Ackman, ARRAY Director of Information & Cybersecurity, Awarded Cybersecurity Executive of the Year
Fairfax, VA, 11/13/2020 – ARRAY is pleased to announce that Stephanie Ackman, ARRAY Director of Information and Cybersecurity, was awarded WashingtonExec’s 2020 Cybersecurity Executive of the Year for a private company during the virtual Pinnacle Awards ceremony on November 12, 2020.
Ackman was selected for this award based on the measurable impact she has made to several high-profile client programs as well as her significant impact within ARRAY. During the past four years, she has been the Cybersecurity Lead for 22 DoD Programs and directly involved in delivery on four of those programs – an Air Force ACAT 1 system with congressional oversight and three Army and Air Force ACAT 3 systems. As a CISSP Certified Information Systems Security Professional and CISSP-ISSEP Information Systems Security Engineering Professional, Ackman promotes a strong cyber posture across ARRAY and encourages close collaboration between cyber professionals and IT staff, engineers, and developers.
“Since Stephanie joined ARRAY in 2015, she has consistently helped us improve our understanding of cybersecurity across all programs while also taking on a leadership role with guiding and developing her teams,” said Axel Foley, VP Air Force Operations. “Currently she is leading our CMMC implementation as well as efforts to establish a standard cybersecurity health assessment criteria. She continues to be instrumental to our growth in ensuring that ARRAY excels at cybersecurity milestones.”
WashingtonExec recently interviewed Ackman to discuss her future focus areas for cybersecurity and challenges she’s overcome. She also shared career advice for anyone looking to follow in her footsteps, encouraging others to take risks and never turn down an opportunity.
“The cybersecurity world is changing rapidly, and to remain relevant, you must be willing to take risks,” said Ackman.
As ARRAY prepares for the future, Ackman is also actively working to ensure ARRAY continues to excel at cybersecurity milestones and grow its qualified team of individuals to achieve customer mission.
