Successful Migration of DoD Mainframe Application to Cloud

ARRAY served as the Systems Integrator in support of an AF Common Computing Environment (CCE) 2.0 Cloud Migrator in moving a Mainframe application from the legacy Global Combat Support System-Air Force (GCSS-AF) DISA Enterprise Computing Center (DECC) on-premise hosting environment to the AF CCE 2.0 MS Azure hosting environment.

ARRAY SMEs worked with the CCE team to identify methods to allow the database to be migrated to the target cloud hosting environment quicker with less defects/bugs.

Our database functionality improvements included removing obsolete Database Management System (DMS) records from the COBOL application code and converting demand programs to avoid the use of green screens in the cloud. ARRAY SMEs identified several issues with database keys not finding correct records for suspense and personnel records.
